MAY WE PRAY FOR YOU?

There are times when we all find ourselves either confused or overwhelmed by life and even though we want to pray we just don’t seem to be able to find the words or feel that God could not possibly be interested. Let me say that this is not the God that Jesus revealed to us. He has shown us that if it matters to us it matters to God and God is always only a prayer away.

If you feel uncomfortable in praying yourself or would appreciate having other people praying with you I invite you to write down what it is you wish to pray for with just enough detail so that others can pray intelligently for you. There is no need for you to sign your request or reveal any personal information. These requests can be left in the letterbox at 94 Parkes Street Helensburgh.

Every Sunday from 7-7.30pm people meet in the Uniting Church Chapel to pray and your requests will be given to them. Anyone who would like to come along is very welcome. The people who meet do not believe in the power of prayer, but in the power of the one to whom the prayers are prayed… God our Father, whom we can approach with confidence through Jesus the Son.
