STANWELL PARK ARTS THEATRE (SPAT)

Another successful Trivia Night was held at the Stanwell Park CWA Hall on 8 February. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun and it was great to see Kate Brown and friends from Coledale Hospital who came dressed in their best gear - nursing uniforms from an earlier era. The proceeds will go to Coledale Hospital - if only to update our “poor nurses’” uniforms! Dic Morgan informs me that approximately $900 will go to the hospital fund.

We thank Kevin James and team for doing a great job in hosting the evening and we very much appreciate the wonderful contribution made by local people and businesses in making the evening possible. Prizes were donated by Stanwell Park Kiosk, Italian in the Park, Ruby’s Revival Cafe, Helensburgh Pizzarama, Leo’s Family Restaurant, Smithy’s Brasserie, Raya Thai Restaurant, Helensburgh Video, Sunrise Nursery, the Driving Range and Kate Brown. And thanks everyone who came along - you played well to raise some money for a good cause.

Cameron Sharp’s prize winning one act play “Pig Kazoo” is SPAT’s next production and should be performed before Easter - 4, 5, 11 and 12 April. We hope to have Circus WOW adding extra entertainment on those evenings.

The Film Club presented “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” in February. The next film night will be in April. Wayne usually advertises the next movie on boards outside the CWA Hall, Stanwell Park or the Stanwell Park Kiosk.
