Lilli Pilli Kayak Club members train and compete throughout the year. The Club caters for all ages, all levels of ability and a wide range of kayaks. Most club activities are held on the Hacking and Woronora Rivers in Sutherland.
2003 EVENTS
15 March - Open Day/registration/iron-(wo)man race: A fun day leading up to the Autumn race season.
• Open day - an opportunity for anyone to try kayaking, at no cost, on the edge of the beautiful Royal National Park. Bring the family. You’ll be assisted by experienced paddlers and have the chance to try a variety of canoes and kayaks. There will be a free sausage sizzle for new comers. Starts at 11am at Swallow Rock Reserve, Grays Point (finish about 1.30pm).
• Registration - if you find you like kayaking join the Lilli Pilli Kayak Club Inc. Race calendar for 2003 available.
• Iron person race - open to everyone. 250m swim, 5km paddle, 500m run, followed by a 2km paddle. 2pm start at the Swallow Rock Reserve, Grays Point.
22 March - Preseason race 2pm Swallow Rock, Grays Point.
29 March - Preseason race 2pm Swallow Rock
5 April - Autumn series begins 2pm Swallow Rock, Hacking Classic 10km.
28 June - Autumn series ends.
5 July - Winter series begins 2pm Swallow Rock.
27 Sept - Winter series ends.
