Hello everyone, Its raining! Well, at the time of writing this report it was pouring. No complaints. Great to see green again, but hopefully the green has spread through the drought areas.
Café Club: As mentioned in the previous edition, our new program, the Café Club (Culture, Activity, Friendship, Education), has commenced and is going very well. The Club is held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. The program for the following 3 months is:

Shaw * Bingo
15 May * Board games, cards, etc * Carpet bowls
5 June * Diabetes education speaker * Games

Volunteers are an integral part of this organisation, without whom we are unable to provide services. To maintain the standard that our clients should have, we provide ongoing support and training to our volunteers. In March, 20 volunteers and staff successfully completed a twoday Senior First Aid Certificate with the Red
Cross. NINA pays for all volunteer training. In the next three months the service will provide training in:
Tues 8 April day - grief & loss
Tues 13 May day manual handling
Wed 18 June day dementia awareness (Tafe Plus certificate).
If you have few hours to spare each month to support the senior, frail aged, disabled and carers in your community, then please contact the office. We would love to hear from you as we DESPERATE for additional volunteers
