NEW WEBSITE FOR THE NORTHERN SUBURBS

An innovative website is being developed by Scott Smith from Art of the State in conjunction with the Northern Illawarra Chamber of Commerce. The site is for the Northern Illawarra (covering Helensburgh to Bulli) and includes a comprehensive listing of local businesses, community organisations and other activities, as well as on-line versions of our local media.

The site is currently a working model or prototype and can be accessed at its temporary web address of www.artofthestate.com.au/nio/index.html

• it is a free community based business listing
• it will promote local business to both the local and surrounding areas
• it has a comprehensive list of businesses divided into five regions
• it will feature online versions of the Helensburgh & District News and Pictorial News
• it is backed up by an extended search facility using the Yellow Pages
• it links dynamically to all existing email and web addresses
• it offers businesses and organisations both a basic and an introductory level of web presence
• it will be launched for public use later in 2003.
