STANWELL PARK CHRISTIAN SURFERS

It seems like only yesterday we were in the middle of holidays, and are now back at school, uni or work. Stanwell Park Christian Surfers have already met three times! The first hall night was good fun. The chocolate game, with quality Dove chocolate (not cooking chocolate, as has been known to happen!) was a favourite, with the guys going all in at the end. The surprise night was something different with two teams running around the park picking up hints as to where Jonny was. Steve’s team ended up running round Murrawal to find Jonny at the beach, whilst Craig’s team went down Station Street, straight past the lookout to the beach. After a good game of beach footy, the crew clambered up the track in the dark, led by Guy and a few of the Stanwell Ave boys. Jasper Crisp tried to wake up Red, and his ancestors, by yelling at the top of his voice as we passed their house! The night ended with some food and a study on humans, how God created us and how we stuffed it up.

Surf/Soccer/BBQ night was fun except for the surf bit - it was onshore and small. The BBQ was delicious, and whilst we ate Nic told us how Jesus, God’s son, can forgive us for stuffing up as humans and bring us back into a right relationship with God. The cold southerly made it hard to listen, but the guys did well, especially Hugh and Tom.

Coming up next is a Skate Night,Thursday 10 April - meet at the church at 6.30pm, bring $8 + helmet, and be prepared to wear it! Help with transport may be needed from parents.
