NORTHERN ILLAWARRA NEIGHBOUR AID INC

Hello everyone, The philosophy of a Neighbour Aid organisation is to identify support services that enable people who are older, frail, or disabled and carers in the community to maintain their independence for as long as possible.
We promote the idea of people being there for one another and endeavour to provide a flexible and neighbourly service with the focus on community. This can only be done with the cooperation of our wonderful band of volunteers. If you would like to join them, we would love to hear from you. Training, support and vehicle reimbursement are available. We have approx 150 clients who receive services and greatly appreciate the support from our volunteers.
Meal services: Our Meal Services Supervisor, Jodie, informs me that the new menu has commenced with exciting additions. If you find you are having difficulty preparing meals or are recently out of hospital, Jodie would be happy to discuss our service with you. A hot meal can be delivered daily, and/or frozen meals for you to heat yourself.

ACTIVITIES FOR MAY...
Shopping trips: Every Friday to major shopping centres. We collect and return passengers to their homes.
Café Club: (Culture, Activity, Friendship, Education) The next Café Club will be held on Thurs 15 May, 10.15am-12.30pm in the auditorium at the Workmen’s Club. This is an opportunity to meet or make friends, have a chat, a yummy morning tea, and enjoy the numerous activities and entertainment. If you would like to join the club please contact the office.
Mixed Monday Social: On Mon 12 May we are having a local day, with morning tea at Woronora Dam and lunch at the Kiosk Stanwell Park.
Saturday mixed social: To the Direct Factory Outlets at Homebush Bay.
Men’s group: This month’s activity commences with the Big Morning Tea at Hillcrest, Stanwell Park, on Monday 19 May, with all proceeds going to the Australian Cancer Council. Graham Ratten will then give a historical tour of Hillcrest. Lunch will be at lllawarra Yacht Club.
THE 19 SEATER BUS IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE TO LOCAL ORGANISATIONS
