STANWELL PARK CHRISTIAN SURFERS

Just got out of the surf at Stanni with Lobby and I have to say... it was very good! (20 May)
I saw the Lobster disappear into more pits than he made it out of, but hey, when it’s overhead, offshore and only a handful of guys out, who cares?
We have just experienced a week and a half of wet and the biggest rainfall in 40 years.
On the Sunday morning though, we awoke to clear skies, off-shore winds and a solid 6ft+ of swell. What a treat!
The Guys @ CS have had some great Hall nights lately with some good Bible studies and equally good discussions about some pretty important stuff including life, our purpose, the Creator and a myriad of other things (including how many Cheezels Guy, Red and Joel can fit in their mouths and still talk).
Last week we learnt that the God who made the universe hasn’t written us off altogether: in fact he loves us and has a plan for each of us… If this wasn’t true, He wouldn’t have bothered to send Jesus to Planet Earth in the first place. The challenge is for us to either believe in Him and follow Him or to write Him off altogether and pretend that He just doesn’t exist (we all do this far too often).
Maybe God shouldn’t have given us a “freewill” after all.
A big thank you too to the Hylands of Stanwell Avenue who have fixed up the lighting and the electrical in the Stanni Hall. We can now see what we are doing and can meet in safety!
