NORTHERN ILLAWARRA NEIGHBOUR AID INC

(A Home & Community Care-funded program)
PLANNING DAY: This is your opportunity to find out more about the services and structure of Northern Illawarra Neighbour Aid. We are looking for interested persons to provide feed back on our services and ideas for improvement. Thursday 31 July, 10am-12noon, at the organisation’s office at 2/114 Parkes Street Helensburgh. Clients, volunteers and interested members of the community will be made most welcome. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP 24 July.
IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE to doctors, hospital and other important appointments, a daily hot meal, or frozen meals, social and shopping activities via our community bus (the bus collects and returns you to your home), Café Club, home visiting and our At Home Assistance Register then please contact the office.
VOLUNTEERS: If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to assist the senior, frail aged, people with a disability and carers in our area then either give us a ring or pop into the office and find out how you can help. Training support, and vehicle reimbursement is available.
JULY ACTIVITIES...
Shopping trips: Every Fri to major shopping centres in our community bus. We collect and return you to your home.
Café Club: Thurs 3 & 17 July - 10.15am-12.30pm at Helensburgh Workmen’s Club. Morning tea, entertainment, guest speakers, activities. For further information please contact the office.
Mixed social: The mixed social this month is morning tea at Camellia Gardens Caringbah, with lunch at the RSL Club Cronulla on Mon 7 July.
Mixed Saturday social: A visit to the Illawarra Grevillea Park Society open day on Sat 19 July. Bistro lunch at Bulli/ Woonona Bulli RSL Club.
Men’s group: To be advised - ring our office.
THE SERVICE 19 SEATER BUS IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE TO LOCAL NON- PROFIT ORGANISATIONS. HELP SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SERVICE. If you require assistance or would like to become a volunteer please contact the office on 4294 1900.

BUSH DINNER DANCE & BENEFIT NIGHT

COME ALONG and support your local Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care Service by attending our annual fundraising event. This promises to be a fabulous evening commencing with a sumptuous three-course dinner and featuring DAVE OLIPHANT’S FIDDLEDANCE BAND, a charity auction and dancing.
