STANWELL PARK ARTS THEATRE (SPAT)
We are sorry to say that Wendy Regan is unable to direct Wind in the Willows as planned, but fortunately Cory Newman has stepped in and, in true show business style, has taken on this tremendous task. Who says "the show must go on!". SPAT does! (thanks to Cory)
By now auditions will have been held and rehearsals underway. But do not let that put you off - talents of any kind are needed in theatre. If you would like to be involved seek out Cory at the CWA Hall, Stanwell Park on Sundays. Performances will be two weekends in September.
SPAT choir had an enjoyable evening singing at a fundraising night at Darkes Forest Woolshed. They are about to embark on a new repertoire of songs, so this would be a good time to come along. Frank and Shauna Moore have been sighted singing at choir lately and it is wonderful to have them back from distant Bowral where they retired.
Cameron Sharpe is working on the draft of the next pantomime and we are hoping to have one of our lovely young adults who started with SPAT as a very young actress to direct it. She is very talented. As yet her identity is a secret, but we will keep our fingers crossed and hope that she will have a go at directing!
Waynes family friendly movies are held in the CWA Hall - just keep a look out for posters. SPATs AGM will be held in August, more news later. For now, enjoy... Jean Doherty, SPAT
