HELENSBURGH WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

During the month of May we had lots of heavy rain which interrupted our Tuesday bowls.
Tuesday 20 May: A cool sunny day - we played social bowls and one round of the annual Championship Ladies’ Pairs. Winners were E McLeod and J Smith. Runners up were W Britten and E Baker. Queen of the Green for May was L McPherson.
Tuesday 3 June: Weatherwise a magnificent winter’s day - we played social bowls, followed by lunch, then we held our AGM. Our elected executive members are as follows: President L Bartlem, Vice Presidents T Thomson and L Whelan, Secretary C Dixon and Treasurer J McCotter. Several of our ladies were nominated and accepted other important positions. Congratulations and best wishes for a good year ahead. We look forward to welcoming new members to commence the beginning of the new financial year. Please give it a thought!
Tuesday 10 June: A beautiful warm day for social bowls. President Lenore, with two executive members, attended the Presidents’ Day at Peakhurst Bowling Club and enjoyed a lovely day.
