Invitation to sporting groups

The Helensburgh & District News invites representatives from the many and varied sporting groups in the area to contribute monthly reports for publication.

With just one reporter, the H&D News is unable to properly cover all sporting events and relies on the input from organisers and players. This month, the only contribution received was from the ever-reliable and colourful Helensburgh Women’s Bowling Club.

Coverage of sporting events is essential to a community newspaper both for the players to see their names in print and for the sponsors. It also keeps readers up to date with team progress.

So, to the football, cricket, soccer, netball, swimming and other clubs, please send us your reports so we can highlight this area’s sporting prowess.
