Renovation Rescue descends on Stanwell Tops

Ten-year-old Emily Mitchell of Stanwell Tops has been involved with Camp Quality at the Christian Conference Centre for as long as she can remember.

Her parents, Tony and Jenny, have been involved with the kid’s cancer organisation for 15 years and it was natural for their daughter to help out. Emily is now the youngest leader Camp Quality has ever had and, to reward the family’s commitment, the organisation’s head office nominated them for a Renovation Rescue by the Channel 9 crew (pictured right).

Jenny was in on the secret but Tony and Emily went to Adelaide on 30 August without knowing their Annesley Avenue home would be completely refurbished by the time they came back two days later.

Renovation Rescue production manager Simon Ritchie said the kitchen would be revamped with additional bench space, the lounge room would be redesigned and outdoor entertainment areas improved.

“They are very worthy recipients of the Renovation Rescue package,” he said.
