Helensburgh Beautification Project

Nearly 60 trees were planted along Parkes Street on Saturday, 9 April as part of the ongoing beautification of Helensburgh township. This was a great success with a small group of dedicated volunteers joining Helensburgh Lions and Helensburgh Landcare, to get the entire job done in just over two hours.
The next stage will be completed on Saturday, 21 May focussing on the planting and landscaping of the area outside the post office, seeking to maintain visibility while extending upon the successes of the roundabout and NRMA corners. The day starts at 8am with all volunteers inducted by a Wollongong City Council representative - please bring sturdy boots and sensible work clothes, along with a spade or shovel if you have one.
