Newsletter seeking staff

The Helensburgh & District News has increased in popularity, size and scope and requires extra volunteers to help maintain its presence.
The newsletter is seeking a deputy editor, a production manager and a typist.
The deputy editor would be responsible for sourcing several stories each month as well as chasing up details from contributors. The successful candidate would need strong communication and writing skills and, most importantly, a keen interest in the area.
It would require about 10 hours a month.
We are also seeking someone with graphic design skills, particularly InDesign experience. Our production manager Scott Smith has improved the visual quality of the newsletter, particularly the photographs and advertisements, and is now ready to move on.
This role would require a flair for design and an ability to work to tight deadlines. It would require about 15 hours over two weeks.
We also need someone with typing and editing experience who would be able to input the contributions we receive from the public while at the same time editing them for grammar and spelling.
This role would require an eye for detail and good language skills. It would require about three to four hours a month.
All roles are voluntary. Please forward applications to Heather Smith, Editor, Helensburgh & District News, PO Box 248, Helensburgh, 2508 by 1 December.
