Sea bridge reunites communities
Symbolising the reunification of coastal communities, students from Stanwell Park and Scarborough public schools will walk toward each other and meet in the middle of the Grand Pacific Drive sea bridge when it opens on 11 December.
The bridge will welcome pedestrians from all over Sydney at the official opening before it is returned to vehicles the next day.
Students from the local schools will host sausage sizzles at their end of the bridge to keep pedestrians fed and watered for their Sunday walk.
A charity event is being planned for the evening but details are still being finalised.
